Durham Ukelele Klub (August 4th 12pm-1pm)
Plan B Band
There is a great reason why Plan B: The Band’s motto is “This is going to be great!” Hovering over classic rock and current hits, this six-piece band aims to have as much fun playing fabulous music as audiences love hitting the dance floor! They bring any event to life! Well known for their highly successful charitable event for a local cancer support centre, Plan B has also rocked many street festivals, private parties, backyard BBQs and business grand openings. Come and check them out at this year’s Ribfest!
Rollercoaster (August 4th, 4-6 pm)
Rollercoaster is a 6 piece classic rock band made up of artists from Oshawa and the G.T.A. They have numerous years of experience performing in clubs, at weddings and private functions.
Their music includes songs from The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Santana, Elvis, John Lennon, Blue Rodeo, and Tragically Hip as well as many others.
Jason Maxwell (August 4th, 6:30-8:30 pm)
Jason Maxwell is a singer-songwriter and recording artist from Thornhill, Ontario. He released the first single “Constellation Conversation” off his debut EP “Cruising” to Canadian radio stations on March 13th. Jason’s style blends classic rock vibes and even some hints of hip-hop with traditional country instrumentations. Some of his musical influences include: Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, John Mayer, The Beatles, The Eagles and many more.
Jack De Keyzer (Headliner - August 4th, 9-11pm)
JACK DE KEYZER – two time Juno winner, blues guitarist, singer-songwriter. Jack plays worldwide from the Arctic Circle to Puerto Escondido Mexico. With an incredible band of top musicians he will have you rocking to his hot blues, R&B and cool soul jazz.
The Wanted (August 5th, 12:30-2:30 pm)
The Wanted are an acoustic band that fuse early North American folk music with rockabilly and rock ‘n roll in a distinctive mash up of roots music: The Carter Family meet Chuck Berry! The Wanted have performed all over southern Ontario. With tasty originals and brilliant covers of classic songs, The Wanted combine intricate harmonies and traditional instrumentation with unique elements such as washboard, cajon, and acoustic lap steel guitar to create an eclectic musical style that is at once distinctive yet pleasingly recognizable.
Instant Rivalry (August 5th, 3:00-5:00 pm)
Instant Rivalry plays a little country, a little blues, a little folk, a little rock. Just recently, Instant Rivalry won the Ontario Back Roads Country Talent Search. They performed Hoedown and Little Old Farm House, which brought the crowd to tears. This duo is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Stacey Renee (August 5th, 5:30-7:30 pm)
STACEY RENEE was born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario. She has entertained crowds across North America opening for such acts as The Trews, Treble Charger etc. Her electric performances, unmistakable talent, and unique vocal styles are impossible to ignore. You won’t want to miss Stacey Renee’s fun-loving, upbeat performance!
Jordy Jackson Band (Headliner – August 5th, 8:00-11:00 pm)
Jordy was born and raised in Jones Falls, a small, rural area in Ontario. He grew up with nothing more to occupy his time than his guitar and a passion for playing music. Throughout the years, Jordy has played countless shows as a solo artist and with his band Little California. Jordy’s ability to tell a story with his music makes it easy for the listener to relate. In doing this, he has followed in the footsteps of country music’s finest singer-songwriters. Country music is who he is. It’s what drives him. It’s only a matter of time before you see his name in bright lights. His passion for music will continue to grow, so regardless of whether you see him playing to three fans or three thousand fans, his stories will entertain you and bring you to that magical place that only country music can get you to.
Cowboy Buddha Band (August 6th, 1:30-3:30 pm)
The Cowboy Buddha Band is an Alt. Folk/Rock/Blues/Country/Swing group based in Toronto. The band was originally founded in 1998 by Jeremy Edwardes and Andrew Frost and underwent a few changes until John arrived in Canada from New Zealand in 2008. Jeremy, John and Andrew have been close friends performing together since that time. In 2014, Frank Locicero joined the group and has propelled the band with his drumming. The strength of the group lies in the song writing of John and Andrew and the inspired vocal arrangements and strong instrumental solos.
Par Four (August 6th, 4:15-6:15 pm)
Par Four is a five piece band playing classic rock hits from the seventies to current. The Par Four is known for its’ vocal harmony and musicianship and continues this tradition performing in larger dance hall venues to sell out crowds who remember what it was like to dance the night away to a live band with big PA and Lights. Oshawa-based band Par Four has been in existence for over four decades and started out as a Folk duo in the late sixties playing all over southern Ontario.
Professors of Funk (Headliner – August 6th, 7:00-9:00 pm)
THE PROFESSORS OF FUNK is a 9 piece band of all-star musicians from around Durham Region. Groove to the sound of 60’s and 70’s funk, soul and R&B. This band will cap off the Waterfront Ribfest in style.
